The Black "Cisgender* Community Has To Approved
I am a supporter of LGBTQ and everything it is is itself. I am just going to be straight up and honest. I come from an extremely Christian household with being a "Preacher's kid" both of my parents had and still still has an utter disgust of lgbt.
Anytime my mom sees a couple who is same sex or a person that doesn't meet his or her expectations of a stereotypical heterosexual female or male. She will go in private, taunt, call names and even say stuff like "you see that fa***t, sissy" I hate when she says "hmm, someone must have taken advantage of him, that is a sin! " A couple of years ago, I heard my my mom saying homophobic slurs, I told her to just stop it.
We were watching a TV show there is a gay character, in one scene he kisses his boyfriend' My mom starts acting like an idiot saying "eww"
What do you want to see?
Seriously that is what she acts like. Hey look! ;Majority of older ride or die Christians in my family are homophobic and believes in heterosexual relationships.
I am not trying to pull the card, but I just have to. Majority of conservative religious families and especially blacks are so ridiculous when it comes to being gay. Its more than ridiculously of the way most of them are. If you are black and LGBTQ you willl need to work day and night to get respect from your own race. Your family can be nonreligious once you come out, your relatives will look at you like your in the Manson family/ serial killer.
99% of Black families are so against it, alot have a problem with it. That goes for religious or not. It is very rare to see an open minded accepting black people. Yes Mommy and Daddy, brother and sister is black so is the son. Except the son is gay, because mommy, Daddy, brother and sister are so similar once the son does his business, everyone talks and joke about the son sexuality and lifestyle.
That is what it is like in my household many others too especially black. A good example would be Veronica from Have and Have Nots. You do have to be gigantic when it comes to being LGBTQ in a black community, perdomaincy.
That is why so many have a hard time after coming out. There are cis people who are black and refuse to learn or listen. Being teaxh that from generstion to generation is just as toxic.
